Broadcast Blast has a lot of nice features like newspaper style boxscores many options to display and search statistics.
They still have season disks every year though. Also, there is no automatic playoff set-up in BB. The bad thing about Broadcast Blast is no updates in the last few years so the play by play sound does not include new players. This would be a nice option to have in the next version of OOTP. The play by play in BB is a little more rich and engaging than OOTP4 and the sound adds a lot to the game. The OOTP4 manager pinch hit for the starting pitcher after two innings with a 3 to 0 lead.
The computer managers in BB make better decisions than the computer manager in OOTP4 particularly as related to pitching decisions. As a long time user of Broadcast Blast (BB) for replay I think the game play options are better in BB than OOTP4, particularly for situational baserunning and throwing options as a manager.
